How well organized is your business?
Take this Quick Business Quiz and Find Out -
If you're game!
Just answer yes or no to each of the
following 10 simple questions. Keep track (on your fingers will do) of
how many "no's" you answered, then check what it all means after the
tenth question. Good luck!!!
1. Do you have clear procedures and policies documented, accessible and used by all staff?
2. Do you have a documented induction program?
3. Do your staff know how to find information they
need to service your customers without asking some one else (like you)?
4. Does everyone in your organization know how to deal with customer complaints and suggestions?
5. Are customer complaints and suggestions used to improve business process?
6. Do you have a plan which everyone in your
organization has seen, understands and can explain without looking it
up?
7. Does every staff member know where they fit into the implementation and success of the business plan?
8. Does each staff member have their own measurable
goals and objectives which they strive to achieve each day?
9. Do you give all your staff members regular feedback
on the business performance, their own performance and key achievements?
10. Do you take the time to imagine where your
business could be in 5 years time and how you will get it there?
If you answered "no" to 5 or more of these questions
then you could do with a little help (and couldn't we all from time to
time??).
Contact me and see how I can help you
change all your "no's" to great big "YESSES".

If you'd like to go it alone - here's a few tips to
get you started.....
1. Write down a list of all the "no"
answers to the questions above and ask yourself what you need to do to turn them
into "yes" answers. For example, if you said no to question 1, then maybe it's
time you wrote down some of your procedures, even if it's just in a note book.
As long as everyone who needs to have access, does!
2. Google the more difficult stuff
like "how to create a procedures manual" or "how to give effective feedback" -
you'll be surprised at just how much help is out there.
3. Check out the
reports section of this site - it's full of
useful (and VERY cheap) reports designed to help you put their content into
immediate practice in your small business.
